Artist's Comments

I had an idea for this earlier in the day, and I forgot it, then remembered it right when I was going to bed. I figured I should do it before I forgot again.

My second foray into the world of digital art, and ohgodIhopeididn'tscrewuptheanatomytoobad.

I was using this as a ref, in a sense. `Athos-of-Light (who is amazing, by the way) bought me a print of that, and I was doing it from memory. Which is why it's not exactly the same.

Now please, I beg of you, tell me why it sucks so I can improve.

Aside from the color, which I personally like blues as opposed the reddish tones which are present. I cannot find much wrong with this.

The pose is amazing, and in motion. The placing of the body over the light, it leads the eye right to the man. It's like you are looking up to a rocker about to hit the epic chords and smash out the concert, you can almost hear the music. Even the double vision makes it even better to look at.

One suggestion would be to make the lighting more irregular. That might improve it. But you would have to play with it and see how it works.

Overall this is a well done piece. Clean lines, great color, and wonderful arrangement.

Hope and am eager to see more great things soon

The anatomy's really accurate. I'm not terrible fond of the blurring effect, but I am of the work itself.

Keep up the effort

Can I ask how you would've done it please? I'm not HUGELY fond of it myself.

Thank you

Constructive critisism:
Whilst the double image/Blur give it more of a feeling of movement, you may wish to try it with only one part of the body in motion. (The hand etc..)
I love silhouettes, and my personal preference is that they are sharp: but don't let my personal preferences deter you from your style!

I relly do love it, though, and I was wondering if you would allow me to use this for a poster for Woden Youth Centre? (Canberra, Australia)

It's all not for profit (The activities are free to all people 12-25yrs old, and I don't make any money off it either), and all credit will go to you, of course.
Check out my dA for exaples, or see [link] and search 'Woden Youth Centre'

Please let me know either way if you are ok with me using it or not.

Thank you so much!
Jess.
